Partial Hospitalization Program
A partial hospitalization program (PHP), is a specialized form of outpatient rehab designed to address the complex needs of individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders.
Our PHP requires a commitment of several hours per day, up to 5 days a week. You will commute to and from the outpatient facility on a daily basis. The duration of your participation will vary depending on many factors, such as the severity of your symptoms, the nature of your disorder(s), and other considerations. You may spend a few weeks to several months in one of our PHP programs.
Who Are Partial Hospitalization Programs For?
For those who have family commitments or other obligations that prevent them from committing to inpatient rehab, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) can be a suitable alternative. This program provides a middle ground between residential treatment and an intensive outpatient program offering a structured environment and immediate treatment for addiction and/or mental health issues. If progress is not as expected, it may be suggested that you consider inpatient care until your condition improves.
As long as you continue making strides in your recovery and maintain your sobriety, you can eventually step down from a PHP and transition into a lower level of care, such as an intensive outpatient program or a standard outpatient program. Although this may initially seem like a significant commitment, it also means that you will have ongoing support throughout your recovery journey.
- Been diagnosed with a substance use or mental health disorder that requires treatment beyond weekly outpatient sessions yet does not require the intensity of residential care.
- A support system comprising friends, family, community resources, healthcare providers, and other professionals who are committed to assisting in the individual’s ongoing recovery.
- Attained a level of stability that enables them to return home after treatment and resume some of their daily life activities, such as work or school, while still benefiting from additional drug and alcohol treatment and support.
- The motivation to actively engage in all aspects of the intensive outpatient plan, including attending all scheduled PHP program rehab sessions at the facility.
- A strong determination to adhere to their recovery goals and actively work towards achieving them.
- The capacity to acquire and integrate new coping skills and strategies, applying them effectively in their day-to-day lives.
What to Expect from a Partial Hospitalization Program
Our partial hospitalization program is designed to provide treatment and support for those suffering from addiction and other mental health issues. Carefully tailored to suit your unique needs and circumstances, our PHP is both flexible and accommodating, with treatment available most days of the week, up to 6 hours per day. After completing your daily sessions, you have the option to return to your own home or sober living environment.
Our PHP encompasses a comprehensive range of therapeutic interventions, counseling services, and group activities, including individual therapy, group therapy, psycho-education, support groups, art therapy, music therapy, and holistic services. These sessions are designed to enhance self-awareness, foster personal growth, and promote a sense of community among peers who are embarking on a similar journey toward recovery.
Recognizing that each person’s recovery journey is unique, the PHP program is designed to adapt to your progress and evolving needs. As you make progress toward your treatment goals, our team will conduct regular assessments, make necessary adjustments to your treatment plan, and provide ongoing support to ensure the highest level of effectiveness and personalized care.
